Goodyear, Wolverhampton
Planning Prospects prepared and secured planning permission for the comprehensive redevelopment of the former Goodyear factory in Wolverhampton, delivering a major residential-led mixed-use scheme that has transformed the site into a new sustainable community.
Planning Prospects has been advising on this high-profile regeneration site in Wolverhampton for a number of years. Acting on behalf of key stakeholders, we secured planning permission for the comprehensive redevelopment of the former Goodyear factory into a major residential-led mixed-use scheme.
Our team has overseen the delivery of the development through Reserved Matters applications and the discharge of planning conditions, ensuring a high-quality outcome. The scheme has transformed the site into a sustainable new community, including new homes, a neighbourhood park, and the refurbishment and retention of the iconic Goodyear Clock Tower.
The development delivers 45 acres of residential-led development, alongside a new community park and a local shopping centre anchored by Aldi. Following the closure of the factory in 2017, the final phase of housing is now being coordinated, marking the completion of the site’s transition into a vibrant new neighbourhood.
