Weir Hill, Shrewsbury
Planning Prospects has been retained as planning consultant to Taylor Wimpey and Persimmon Homes to support the promotion and delivery of a major residential-led development on the edge of Shrewsbury.
Planning Prospects are the retained planning consultants to Taylor Wimpey and Persimmon Homes, promoting the development of a major residential scheme of approximately 600 new homes on the edge of Shrewsbury. The site has the potential to accommodate a significant proportion of the town’s growth as identified in the adopted Core Strategy.
The development has been brought forward through a comprehensive masterplanning process, which has required detailed assessment of key site constraints and opportunities, including highway access, ecology, landscape and infrastructure provision. Extensive public consultation has formed a key part of the process, including targeted consultation group sessions to engage the local community.
Planning permission was secured for a hybrid application for 600 new homes in 2018, with Reserved Matters submissions subsequently progressing Phase 2 of the development.
